I personally hate goodbyes and with this song it is only to symbolize the end of this album nothing more to it than that – and for all other lyrics it is thoughts held in heart for a lifetime experience for the healing of myself. If you do not like it or feel another vibe, then it is up to you to do so and turn off song.  
  My take making goosebumps-music is all about bringing some emotions that most people can relate to, so we all are in different states of mind when listening to music, so you decide what you feel about it. Same way as some people like Beethoven and others like AC/DC.
